ABOUT THE DESIGN |
ABOUT THE KIT |
Resembling a flying zap-gun, the "Sulaco" was the principal spacecraft featured in James Cameron's superior sequel, "Aliens." Ostensibly a space-going troop carrier, the "Sulaco" was only lightly armed with twin guns on its upper and lower surfaces and was powered by a means never suggested in the screenplay. It carried two "drop ships" capable of atmospheric flight, both of which could be piloted by remote control if necessary. |
Halcyon's "Sulaco" was excellently
detailed and engineered, but was disappointingly small (especially when compared
to their Narcissus and Nostromo kits). Simple to build but a joy to detail, the
kit was released twice, once bearing the "Aliens" logo, then later
bearing the logo of "Alien3." This model was built from an original issue. |
